7-4  DESCENDING STAIRS

(1)  Starting descend operation

Hold the machine at a right angle to the stairs and

position the stop mark to the edge of the top step,
and stop the machine temporally without fail.

Raise the handle of the machine, which is

temporarily at the stop position, slowly upward,
and lower the front part of the machine slowly until
Rubber Crawlers touch the step.

NOTE:

When raising the handle, take your thumb off
UP/DOWN switch and hold the handle firmly.

At a right angle to
the stairs

Contact

Set the machine with the front facing the stairs.

WARNING

•

If the left and right Rubber Crawlers do not meet the stair

simultaneously, STAIR CHAIR will descend the stairs
askew. This is a highly risky situation.

•

If the machine moves forward exceeding the stop mark,

it may abruptly tip toward the stairs. Since this is highly
dangerous, be sure to stop the machine temporally.
