3.4.4 Inspection before starting the engine
Walk-around inspection
Before starting the engine, do a walk-around
inspection covering the following items:
Remove the dust on the cab windows to allow
for a good visibility.
Remove all foreign matters around engine,
radiator or accumulator. Check for engine oil
or fuel leakage. If any abnormalities are found,
clear them as well as to remove all oil to avoid
fire.
Do a walk-around inspection on machine:
check for bolt looseness, wire wear out, piping
leakage etc. If any abnormal signs are detected,
please clear them.
Check work equipments, cylinder, link, hose
free of crack, wear out or and variation.
Check engine oil level: the level must be
between the lines of “MAX” and “MIN”.
Check coolant level: the coolant level must be
between the lines of “LOW” and “FULL”.
Drain the water and deposits in fuel tank.
Confirm inspection
Check around the machine to make sure it’s
clear of person and obstacles.
Adjust weight bearing, height, seat tilting,
armrest angle, backrest angle etc for operator’s
comfort.
Check seat belt and fasten buckle.
Check horn and light to ensure they are
properly functioning.
Check instruments and monitor for any
damage.
