19. Open the drain valve at the bottom of the water
pump.
20. Close the air purge valve when most of the water is
expelled.
21. Stroke the pump in the prime/purge mode until no
water is seen coming from the pump drain.
22. Close the water pump drain valve.
23. Open the glycol tank feed valve (11) until the pump
ingests approximately one gallon of glycol.

24. Quickly shut off the pump.
25. Shut off the glycol tank feed valve.
NOTE
On trucks equipped with a dump body, open the
debris body flush line and winter recirculation line
drains located between the frame rails at the back of
the truck (12) to drain any remaining water. Close
drain valves when finished.

26. Open the pump drain to expel any water that may
remain in the valve. When glycol begins to flow from
the pump drain, close the pump drain valve.
27. Raise the debris body and open the tailgate to
remove any water that was purged into the body.
28. Lower the debris body and close the tailgate.
NOTE
Failure to turn off the air purge valve could cause
damage to the truck’s braking system if driven.
