VACUUM EQUIPMENT OPERATION SAFETY AND HAZARD

It is the operator's responsibility to be knowledgeable of
all potential operating hazards and to take every
reasonable precaution to ensure that oneself, others,
animals, and property are not injured or damaged by the
operation of this equipment. Do not operate the
equipment if passersby or untrained persons are within
the active job site.
Never operate this equipment if a shield or guard is
missing or in poor operational condition.
NOTE
Read and understand all operating instructions and
the entire safety section of this manual and the truck
manual before attempting to operate any equipment.
If you do not understand any of the instructions, contact
your nearest authorized dealer for a full explanation. Pay
close attention to all safety signs and safety messages
contained in this manual and those affixed to the unit.

WARNING
Before operating the equipment, conduct a walk-around
inspection of the equipment for proper operation. Repair
any improperly functioning, broken, or damaged
equipment before operating.
Inspect the job site for unsafe conditions and identify any
potential hazards for operators and bystanders. Do not
operate equipment if unsafe conditions cannot be
controlled.
Emergency Stop Button Function
This equipment is equipped with multiple emergency stop
buttons that can be activated at any time during operation
to disconnect the power and shut down the vacuum and
dump operations. Emergency stop buttons are located on
the front control panel, curbside control panel, and each
remote pendant.
Pressing the emergency stop button while the machine is
in operation has the following results:
• Brings truck RPM to idle
• Opens the vacuum relief valve
• Shuts off the water pump
• All functions that are stopped will remain inactive
A message on the front control panel HMI screen will
indicate that it is in emergency stop mode.
READ, UNDERSTAND, and FOLLOW the following
Safety Messages. Serious injury or death may
occur unless care is taken to follow the warnings
and instructions stated in the Safety Messages.
Always use common sense to avoid hazards.
Always set the truck parking brakes and if on
unleveled surfaces chock the wheels.
Unexpected truck movement can cause serious
injuries.
