SEWER CLEANING — TYPICAL SEQUENCE

When finished using the boom, return the boom to
the transport position before moving the truck. The
proper transport position locates the boom over the
passenger side front fender.
Make sure the boom is
in contact with the boom cradle. Connect the vacuum
hose chain, located on the front bumper to the
vacuum hose. Extend the boom until the vacuum
hose chain is slightly taught. This will secure the
boom in its transport position.
Return to Road Mode
1.
Apply the foot brake. On the transmission control,
select neutral (N). Both the SELECT and MONITOR
indicators will display NN.
2.
Press OFF on the VAC control switch.
3.
Press ROAD on the cab control panel MODE switch.
The WORK light will illuminate red, and the ROAD
light will illuminate green. The transfer case will
engage the rear axle.
4.
Make sure the BOOM UP and/or BODY UP
indicators and alarms are not on. Both the boom and
body must be stored in their road mode down
positions.
5.
If all indications show that the truck is properly ready
for road mode, it can be driven.
Dumping Payload
1.
Position the truck at the dump site.
2.
Set the parking brake.
3.
Shift the transmission to neutral (N).
4.
Place wheel chocks in front of and behind one of the
rear tires. Place safety cones as needed.
CAUTION

Engage the water and hydraulic systems by pressing
WORK on the cab control panel MODE rocker switch
and depressing the foot brake. Shift the transmission
to D (drive) and release the foot brake.
6.
At the main control panel or the curbside control
panel, press DUMP on the VAC/DUMP mode switch.

Make sure the tailgate area is clear of people and
obstructions.
Using the wired or wireless pendant:
• Turn and hold the pendant SHIFT switch while
pressing the TG OPEN button to unlock and
raise the tailgate. Allow the tailgate to
completely open before starting the ejection
process.
• Turn and hold the pendant shift switch and
press the EJECT OUT button on the pendant at
the same time.
Using the curbside control panel:
• Press and hold the TG OPEN switch to unlock
and raise the tailgate. Allow the tailgate to
completely open before starting the ejection
process.
• Press and hold the EJECTOR PLATE OUT
switch.

To aid in flushing debris, open the debris body flush
valve. Turn the water pump on. Water will come out of
the spray bar inside the debris body.
9.
Connect the water hose to the handgun, open the
hose reel valve located on the water pump, and clean
the tailgate sealing surfaces, tailgate, ejector, ejector
plate, ejector plate guides, and the back of truck as
needed.
10. Reverse the above procedures when completed.
WARNING
The ejector switch and tailgate lock switch will turn green
when the ejector plate is in its home position and the
tailgate is fully closed and locked.
Raise the Debris Body
To raise the debris body, turn the pendant SHIFT switch
and push the BODY UP button on the pendant at the
same time. The boom should be positioned in its cradle
when raising the debris body. There is also a body rocker
switch located on the curbside control.
WARNING
Failure to set the parking brake could result in the
truck rolling forward or backward resulting in
potential personal or property damage.
Make sure the tailgate area is clear of people and
obstructions before moving the ejector plate or
closing the tailgate.
Ensure the area is clear of hazards before raising
or lowering the debris body.
