SECTION 1 - SETUP

Unpacking and Activation

Your robot may come in a crate or carry case. As you unpack your robot, take note of how everything fits so you may safely store your

system for future use.

1.

Check that all your ordered items are included in the package.

2.

Place the robot on a level surface or on blocks so that the tracks/

wheels can rotate freely.

3.

Power on the controller using the Power switch. See

Figure 1A

.

4.

Power on the robot and allow it several seconds to connect. See

Figure 1B

.

5.

Before moving on, read through the Operations section and test

the controls to make sure the robot moves as anticipated.

TOP RIGHT JOYSTICK -

Robot Drive: This joystick is used to drive the robot

forwards/backwards and turn left/right.

NOTE

Practice operating the robot in front of you to understand how the movement controls work. This will help when operating the

robot out of view using the camera.

NOTE

Never charge batteries unattended. Regularly charge batteries to prevent levels from dropping below point of recovery.

The robot comes with a standard barrel port charger. Plug the provided charger into a wall outlet, then into the robot.
