Water pump maintenance
Regular cleaning of the iQ13 pump prolongs its
life and ensures consistent water flow with
a low noise level. To clean the pump,
simply remove the cover from the
pump, remove the impeller screen,
and clean everything. Then put it all
back together and place the pump
back in the pump chamber.
Regulating the pump output
The pump output is adjustable. It is set
to maximum by default because a high
flow rate is important in saltwater
aquariums.
Filter maintenance
Every week you should replace 20% of the water in
the aquarium with fresh seawater and clean the
filter to keep the water in good condition. Filter
maintenance is easy. Remove the cover (trickle)
and the white filter fleece from the first chamber
and rinse them thoroughly with clean tap water,
then re-install them. Regular cleaning of the
black bio-sponge is not desirable
because it would eliminate the
bacteria in the sponge, which provide
biological filtration.
iQ filter media
The three-in-one iQ filter media
combine mechanical, chemical and
biological filtration in the same filter, in
the form of white filter fleece, activated
carbon and highly porous bioglass.
Replace these media monthly to
maintain optimal water quality.
Complete replacement kits are
available from your dealer.
Removing algae and lime deposits
Warning: Never clean acrylic plastics with alcohol or
cleaning products containing alcohol. Alcohol will
damage your acrylic aquarium, and this damage
is not covered by the warranty.
The Superfish Nano Aqua Tool is specifically
designed for easy cleaning of your acrylic aquarium.
The Superfish Mag Clean Mini floating glass cleaner is
also specifically suitable for acrylic aquariums.
Both accessories are available from your dealer.
Removing small scratches
Use the iQube Cleaning Kit, consisting of
polishing paste and a soft cloth, to easily
remove small scratches from the surface of the
acrylic plastic. You can also use the polishing
stone (available separately) to give the acrylic
surface a high gloss.
Keeping the aquarium walls clean
Fingerprints on the acrylic walls of the aquarium
can be removed easily with the synthetic iQube
cleaning cloth. Unlike other cloths, it will not
scratch or streak the surface. (available
separately)
iQ Skimmer
A skimmer is necessary for maintaining
good water quality in saltwater aquariums.
Use the iQ Skimmer to remove protein
foam from the water surface. For best
results, replace the wooden aerator block
in the skimmer every month. Aerator
blocks are available from your dealer.
Remove the right screw of the iQ13 LED
lightning before inserting the skimmer
into the middel chamber of the filtration
system. Install the skimmer as shown.
Good water circulation
To ensure optimal water circulation and
oxygen-rich water, you can install the optional iQ
Spray Bar. It is available from your dealer as an
accessory.
Keep the temperature
under control in the
summer
The aquarium temperature can rise sharply in the
summer, which is harmful to the animals in your
aquarium. You can prevent this by installing an iQube
Vortex Cooling Fan. The fan mounts on top of the pump
chamber and lowers the water temperature by 2 to 4°C.
It is available from your dealer as an accessory.
The right water temperature
The SuperFish Mini heater fits perfectly in the filter
chamber. Place the mini heater at the bottom of the
filter chamber under the filter media. The temperature
is preset at 26° C ideal for all your tropical fish.

Aquarium cover
Use the aquarium cover to prevent
evaporation and stop fish from jumping
out of the aquarium.

Feeding your fish
We recommend using a feeding ring if you give your
fish floating food. This prevents food from
entering the filter, which is bad for the water
quality and can cause clogging. Available from
your dealer as an accessory.
Safety:
1. Before filling the aquarium with water, ensure that it is placed on a solid
surface that can support the load.
2. Only suitable for indoor use.
3. Unplug the filter, heater, lighting and any other electrical equipment
from the wall outlet before working on the aquarium or in the water.
4. Never shorten or lengthen the electrical leads.
5. Never allow the pump to run dry.
6. Attach the lamp firmly, and do not immerse it in water.
7. If cord or light unit is damaged, it will need to be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service department or an
electrician, to avoid any risk.
8. Carefully read the instructions of all accessories first for proper use and
safety in the separate user’s guides.
Special safety instructions
These appliances are not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
Special care should be taken with the use of electrical equipment by or
near children.
Recycling
The symbol of the barred bin printed on the product means that it
must be collected separately from other rubbish when it will not be
anymore in use. The user, at the end of the life of the product, will
have to bring it to a proper rubbish collection centre for electric
and electrical devices. Alternatively the user can return the used product
to the seller at the moment the user buys a new unit, but only in proportion
1 to 1. A differentiated refuse collection is environmentally friendly and it
helps the recycle of the materials, any other collection procedure is
unlawful and will be subject to the law in force.
Warranty
This warranty is valid for 2 years on materials and incorrect construction.
Only units with a fully filled in warranty slip and official till receipt showing
date of purchase will be considered. You must supply the entire unit with
accessories in the event of a warranty claim. We will inform you on receipt
whether the unit will be repaired or replaced. We accept no responsibility
for damage as a result of incorrect use of the unit. Breakage of parts not
due to defects ex factory are not covered by this warranty.
