Chapter 5: Chassis Setup and Maintenance
5-7 Installing a Heatsink
If you elect to buy a heatsink to help cool the processor, use this procedure.
1. Power down the system as described in Section 5-2 and remove the cover.
2. Disconnect the wiring to the motherboard.
3. Remove the screws securing the motherboard to the chassis and lift it up and
out of the chassis.
4. Align the holes of the heatsink, and use the mounting screws to attach the
heatsink to the motherboard.
5. Reinstall the motherboard using the directions in section 5-4.
