Chapter 3 System Interface
HDD:
Indicates activity in the SAS/SATA drive, and/or DVD-ROM drive activity
when flashing.
Information LED:
The information LED is a multi-functional LED that can provide
you with important information about the system. See the table below for a descrip-
tion of each state of this LED and appropriate actions you may need to take.
NIC:
Indicates network activity when flashing.
3-4 Control Panel LEDs
The control panel located on the front of the SC732 chassis has three LEDs.
These LEDs provide you with critical information related to different parts of the
system. This section explains what each LED indicates when illuminated and any
corrective action you may need to take.
Informational LED
Status
Description
Solid red
An overheat condition has occured.
(This may be caused by cable congestion).
Blinking red (1Hz)
Fan failure, check for an inoperative fan.
Blinking red (0.25Hz)
Power failure, check for a non-operational
power supply.
Solid blue
Local UID has been activated. Use this
function to locate the server in a rack
mount environment.
Blinking blue (300 msec)
Remote UID is on. Use this function to
identify the server from a remote location.
