4-13 Accessing the Backplane
The chassis backplane is located behind the hard drives and in front of the front
system fans. In order to change jumper settings on the backplane, it may be
necessary to remove the backplane from the chassis.
Removing the Backplane
1. Power down the system, remove the power cords from the back of the power
supplies and remove the chassis cover.
2. Disconnect the cabling to the backplane.
3. On the right side of the chassis, remove the two screws that secure the
backplane bracket and set these aside for later use.
4. Remove the four upper screws securing backplane housing to the chassis and
set these aside for later use.
