5.4 IPMI
The X12SPW-TF supports the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI).
IPMI provides remote access, monitoring, and management through the baseboard
management controller (BMC) and other management controllers distributed among
different system modules. There are several BIOS settings that are related to
IPMI. For general documentation and information on IPMI, visit our website at:
http://www.supermicro.com/products/nfo/IPMI.cfm.
BMC ADMIN User Password
For security, each system is assigned a unique default BMC password for the ADMIN user.
This can be found on a sticker on the chassis and a sticker on the motherboard. The sticker
also displays the BMC MAC address.
