Jumper Settings
Explanation of
Jumpers
To modify the operation of the moth-
erboard, jumpers can be used to
choose between optional settings.
Jumpers create shorts between two
pins to change the function of the
connector. Pin 1 is identified with a
square solder pad on the printed cir-
cuit board. See the motherboard
layout pages for jumper locations.

Changing the CPU
Speed
Changing the CPU speed is en-
abled by software control in BIOS
(see CPU Speed on page 4-10).
The CPU Speed setting will show
you the actual CPU speed for each
FSB speed option selected. The
FSB speed is set with JP11 and
JP12. Table 2-17 displays the set-

reboot after changing the CPU
speed, 1) clear CMOS and reboot
(as described on next page) and
then set the correct CPU speed
with the BIOS setting mentioned
above.
