St ep (1)
Unpack all component s near t he 
vehicle  w it h  t he  bat t ery  t o  be  used
f or  t he  w inch.

Secure 4’ t ree-saver st rap t hrough 
t ow  hook, chassis f rame or similar 
st ruct ure of  t he vehicle. M ake sure 

Note: When installing winch, your install-
ation may vary slightly from the instruc-
tions and diagrams that follow, depend-
ing upon your vehicle, winch mounting
or structure support. Always take time to
assess your situation and plan your pull.

Release tension on the clutch by jogging 

      some of  t he w ire rope. Release t he 

clut ch

           and pull out  t he w ire rope and  
ext end  t o  anchor  point   or  load.

on t he drum. Re-engage t he drum by 
ret urning  t he  clut ch  knob  t o  t he 
“ Engaged”  posit ion.  (See Figure 9).

St ep (2) 
The w inch elect rical hookup is simple. 
Insert  t he yellow  connect or on t he 
hand held remote to the yellow connector 
on t he w inch. Insert  t he gray connect or 
on t he handheld remot e t o the gray 
connector on the battery jumper cable or 
t he permanent  batt ery cable connect ion.

Alw ays use t he supplied hand saver
t o hold t he hook w hen spooling t he 
rope in or out . Check t hat  t here are at

Not e: The permanent  bat t ery cable 
connection should be inst alled prior to
use of winch. Attach the circuit breaker
directly to battery end of the permanent 
bat t ery connect ion (RED) and t hen
at t ached  the RED  w ire  f rom  t he circuit
breaker direct ly t o the bat tery posit ive 
t erminal. Connect  t he Black coded

(See

Figure 6).

If using the  temporary battery jumper
connection; attach the RED connector 
to the positive terminal on the battery
and at tach the BLACK connector to the 
negat ive  t erminal  on  t he  bat t er y.

brake, and chock all w heels.
