Cooperating Systems
All KeyBoxes and eKEYs are programmed with a system code which
distinguishes one area from another. An agent who belongs to one
KeyBox system cannot open a KeyBox in another area unless his or her
MLS has a cooperating agreement with another KeyBox system. The
cooperating system allows agents to access KeyBoxes in other areas.
An eKEY can contain up to four system codes in addition to their home
system code. The four additional codes allow the agent to access
KeyBoxes in four other KeyBox systems.
Accessing KeyBoxes in a Cooperating SUPRA
KeyBox System
To access KeyBoxes in a cooperating KeyBox system:
!
The cooperating KeyBox system's code must be programmed into
the agent's eKEY.
!
The cooperating KeyBox system must give the agent permission to
receive an update code for the system.
Note: A KeyBox contains only one system code and cannot be placed
outside its own area.
Adding a cooperating system code to your
e
KEY
Take your eKEY to either your KeyBox office or to the cooperating
KeyBox system office where the system code can be programmed into
your KEY.
Note
: An eKEY may be manufactured with the cooperating system
codes already programmed into it. Check with your KeyBox
office to see if your eKEY already contains additional system
codes for cooperating regions.
