Facial Registration and Authentication
Cautions regarding facial registration
•
When registering a face, keep a distance of 60–100 cm between the system and face.
•
Be careful not to change facial expression.
•
Do not wear a mask, hat, or eye patch.
•
Do not register a face while wearing a mask. Registering both a masked face and a non-masked face may increase
false recognition rates.
•
Do not raise or lower your head.
•
Do not wear heavy makeup.
•
Do not close your eyes.
•
Make sure both shoulders appear on the screen.
•
Stand in front of the screen without moving while registering your face.
•
Make sure that only one face appears on the screen. Register one person at a time.
•
If you do not follow the instructions on the screen, facial registration may take a long time or may fail.
Cautions regarding facial authentication
•
Make sure your face appears in the center of the screen. When the position guide is shown, follow the on-screen
instructions for facial authentication.
•
If part of your face is covered by a hat, mask, sunglasses, eye patch, etc., facial authentication may fail. Ensure your
faced is not covered, so the system can recognize your eyebrows and face.
•
Try facial authentication at a distance of 60–100 cm from the system.
•
Make sure both shoulders appear on the screen. If your shoulders are not even, facial authentication may fail. Stand
in front of the screen without moving during facial authentication.
