•
Use an IEC/EN 62368-1 compliant power adapter suited to the device's power consumption. If you need to
connect other devices to the power adapter, use an adapter with a current capacity greater than the sum of
the power consumption of the system and the other devices.
•
Be sure to use separate power sources for the Secure I/O 2, electric lock, and the product. Sharing a power
source with other devices may cause malfunction.
•
When connecting power, pay attention to the distance between BioStation 3 and the power supply. The
system and the power supply should be as close as possible. The system may malfunction if not properly
connected. If the system and power supply are far apart, it is recommended to use 16-AWG or 18-AWG
cable. The connection distance available may vary depending on the size of the cable and the installation
environment. BioStation 3 supports both 24 V DC and 12 V DC, so check the maximum extension length of the
cable and ensure the power source is connected properly.

•
When using a power adapter (24 V DC (± 10%), 2.5 A), do not arbitrarily extend the length of the power cable.
•
Do not use CAT5 UTP 2-Wire cables for power supply.
