SSV2 & SSV7 Trouble Shooting
No display on front of the unit.
Check power lead is correctly fitted into power point, if okay unplug the solar pump from the
base of the unit and plug directly into a power point to confirm power point is working as well
as the pump. If the power is okay, the unit will require servicing by the manufacturer.
Pump light is on but the pump is not working.
Check pump lead is correctly fitted into base of controller, if okay unplug the solar pump and
plug directly into a power point to confirm pump is working. If the pump is okay, the unit will
require servicing by the manufacturer.
The limit light is flashing.
Pool has reached the limit setting and is waiting until the next day to re-check pool water
temperature.
SENSORS
In the event of a sensor cable failure, the display will indicate the type of fault as follows:
99 indicates a broken or disconnected roof sensor cable or open circuit sensor
Check all roof cable connections, if no fault found swap pool and roof sensor
connections at the bottom of the unit, a 77 should now appear to confirm the fault is
in the roof sensor or cable and not in the unit itself, replace roof sensor.
88 indicates wrong polarity connection or short circuited cable or sensor
Reverse polarity of roof sensor cable. Check all roof cable connections, if no fault
found, swap pool and roof sensor connections at the bottom of the unit, a 66 should
now appear to confirm the fault is in the roof sensor or cable and not in the unit itself,
replace roof sensor.
89 indicates a high sensor reading out of normal operating range
Replace roof sensor.
Flashing display of 44 or 55 may indicate an over extended, coiled sensor cable or a
corrupt sensor
Turn power off to unit, press and hold up botton while turning power back on. If a 00
or 03 appears, the roof cable may be over extended or the cable is coiled. Remove
any excess length of cable and re-solder then re-test.
