STARTING FOR THE FIRST TIME AND AFTER
CHANGING THE SOLDERING TIP
1. Verify that the set screws that hold the tip
are properly tighten.
2. Connect the soldering iron to the electric
current.
3. Tin solder tip preferably with resin core. If
there is no available, use welding paste and
cover the tip with a thin layer of solder paste.
This allows for good adhesion and welding
quality.
IMPORTANT: This appliance is not intended
for use by persons (including children) with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
may be different or reduced, or lack of expe-
rience or knowledge, unless such persons are
supervised or trained to operate the product
by a person responsible for their safety. Chil-
dren should be supervised to ensure they do
not use the devices as toys.
FOR WELDING
1. Clean the surface to be welded, if possible,
without damaging clean it with a wire brush or
sandpaper. Use alcohol to remove oil or grease.
CAUTION: Don´t use any type of solvent, to
avoid risk of fire and toxic fumes.
2. Clean the tip of the soldering with a damp
or wet sponge.
3. Use resin core solder preferably. If you do not
have it, apply a small amount of soldering paste.
4. Assemble the parts to be welded and close a
little solder and bring the tip of the soldering
iron hot enough on the parts to be joined, un-
til it melts the solder.
5. Remove the solder and hold a little soldering
iron.
AFTER WELDING
1. Upon completion of welding, the soldering
iron disconnect it from outlet and wait for it to
cool before storing.
2. Do not remove the excess solder from the tip
and keep it with tin to largest duration.
3. Keep the soldering iron in a safe place out of
reach of children.
CHANGING THE SOLDERING TIP
1. Loosen the set screws.
2. Place the new tip.
3. Tighten the set screws.
MANTENANCE
1. It is recommended not to exceed two minu-
tes of continuous operation to prevent this life
is reduced.
2. Periodically inspect the screws.
3. Verify that the power cord it's in good con-
dition.
CAUTIONS:
1. Do not immerse or pour liquids on the sur-
face or inside of the soldering iron.
2. Do not touch it when it is hot.
3. Do not breathe the fumes given off during
welding.
4. Use safety glasses.
5. Never pull the cord.
NOTE: The cable clip type "Y" is the method of
securing the power cord that can be replaced
by the manufacturer or service center, that is,
if the power cord is damaged, it must be repla-
ced by the manufacturer or agent service, in
order to avoid shock hazard. The construction
of this product is designed so that its electrical
insulation is disturbed by splashing or spillage
of liquid during operation.
