5.19 Climb Procedure
Initial climb to 400 feet AGL, no aircraft configuration changes shall be made
unless required due terrain,weather or ATC considerations.
Initial climb speed is V2+5 KIAS as briefed by the crew.
WARNING
Do not retract flaps before reaching 400 feet above ground level. do not reduce power
from the take-off power setting until the flaps have fully retracted.
Reduce the engine torque prior to propeller speed reduction.
Above 400 feet AGL and 100 KIAS, raise the flaps
PF:
“Flapsup”
PM:
“Flaps up selected”
When the flaps are indicating up
PM:
“Flaps up indicated”
Once the flaps are up while accelerating to
120 KIAS, engage the Yaw Damper.
PF:
“Engage yaw damper”
PM:
“Yaw damper engaged”
At or above 1000 ft AGL
PF:
“Set climb power”
After climb power set call, PM will reduce TCLs to 80%
torque and propeller levers to 1,900 Rpm and then reset
TCLs to the required climb power setting, refer to AFM.
PM:
“Climb power set”
At 1500 ft AGL, PF will accelerate to 130/145 KIAS and
PMwill complete after take off items
the“After take-off items”.
After Take-off checklist is usually carried out at or above
2000 FT AGL

“After take-off checklist”
After the checklist is completed
PM:
“After t/o checklist complete”
