6. CRUISE
6.1 Cruise Power Setting

6.2 Use of Navaids for Enroute Navigation
GPS should be used as the primary means of navigation; however, “Raw data”meaning VOR’s
should also be monitored to ensure accuracy. Using the bearingneedles as required while using
GPS on the CDI is acceptable.
AUTOPILOT TRANSFER
The following procedure must be used to transfer the Autopilot to the alternate steering source
(RH or LH PFD):
a)
Disconnect the autopilot and yaw damper, switch on the flight director.
b)
Depress the AUTOPILOT TRANSFER annunciator. Observe the RT (LT) annunciation in green
on the annunciator.
c)
Select the HDG flight director mode on the autopilot mode selector panel. Observe the
HDG annunciation in magenta on the upper left side of the PFD (lateral mode block)
and the HDG annunciation on the autopilot mode selector.
d)
Verify desired navigation source selection on the appropriate PFD, than switch on
required autopilot mode and switch on the yaw damper, as required.
