Chart
23-2Halim VOR 113.3 visually identified final approach course 241 to be set when on
vectors.
Check the glideslope at 9.2 DME 2500 feet.
Minimums 490 set left, PM: Set right
Missed approach is straight ahead to the VOR then a left climbing turn to 2500
and contact approach.
Terrain:
MSA from the south 6900 which is also the highest
Weather:
Low ceiling, expecting to break out at minimums, light crosswind
Operational:
Expecting radar vectors, planning on using the Autopilot for theentire approach. I
will use flaps 18 and 90 KIAS for the approach. I will set CDI toNAV 1 and select APR to capture
the inbound course.
Multiple step downs. expected groundspeed approximately 80 knots; I will set minimums
eaching the FAF and use VS -400 to fly a constant angle.
Call out each stepdown altitude and distance as we progress. I will plan Betawith light braking
to exit right on C taxiway.
Fuel on arrival is 800Kgs; diversionfuel to Bandung is 400Kgs so we can hold for 26 minutes if
required.( 225Kg = 45 min)
Threats:
Low ceiling, non precision approach with multiple stepdowns so we willmake maximum
use of the autopilot. Possible go around. In the event of a goaround I will call “go around, set
power, flaps 18.”
Any questions?
