Delete Messages:
After you have been prompted to send an acknowledgementreceipt you will
be prompted with a delete option. Todelete the message you have just viewed, press the
‘1’ button. To save the message press the ‘2’ button.
You will be returned to the “READ MESSAGES” menu. Deleted messages cannot be recovered.
All messages will be automatically deleted when the system isshut down (Aircraft Master Switch
OFF).
FLIGHT PLAN INPUT
The flight plan function enables the crews to send all necessary data about aflight for the flight
following center before departing from any airport. Note thatthis flight plan function does not
relieve a crew from filing an ATC flight plan withthe authorities as and if required. A Blue Sky flight
plan has to be filed for everydeparture with a company aircraft. It is the task of the FO to input
this flight plan,and can be done while the captain is starting the engine.
Sending a Flight Plan:
Highlight “Flight Plan” from the Main Menu. Then pressthe Right Menu Navigation Button. When
inputting the information for theconfigured fields, you may use the Left or Right MenuNavigation
button to goback or forward to edit the information in the order you wish. Remember that
bypressing the “CLR” button all previous data entered in the field in view will be
erased. Press the “OK” button to store the data you have entered in the field andprogress to the
next data field. Below is a list of the fields that are activated andtheir acceptable input formats.
After you have completely filled out your FlightPlan, the screen will display ”OK?”. Once you
press the “OK” button your FlightPlan will be sent to the Susi Air flight following center.
Flight Rule:
Instrument Flight Rules and Visual Flight Rules are the only twooptions for this field.
Press ‘1’ for IFR or ‘2’ for VFR.
Origin:
Origin is a code for the departure airport set by the OperationsDepartment. Current Lists
are available in the planesand all Company Bases.
The code translates into a Location (ex. 1000 =Medan, 1103 = Meulaboh). If the correct code is
notavailable, use “0000“ as the input value.
