EGPWS
Caution „SINK RATE“
–
descent rate must be decreased, until caution of GPWS is finished
Caution „TERRAIN,TERRAIN or TERRAIN AHEAD.TERRAIN AHEAD“
–
flight crew must check its position and distance from terrain
–
the flight crew must not take into account this caution even in IMC conditions or at night in
case that it is known that e.g. during approach to particular airport terrain configuration
causes this caution, flight crew is sure about its position and this situation is included in
landing briefing, the flight crew must not take into account this caution neither in IMC
condition nor at night.

In day and in VMC condition and with sufficient visual reference the caution must not be
–
taken into account
–
In case of any doubts must be immediately initiated appropriate PULL UP procedure
Caution „PULL UP or WHOOP WHOOP PULL UP“

immediately start PULL UP procedure:
PF:
–
commands „PULL UP“
–
disconnects autopilot (if the aircraft is equipped)
–
moves TCLs to MCT
–
commands „PROP.MAX RPM“
–
transits to climbing
–
issues command „FLAPS 18“ in case of flaps in 42°
–
monitors radio altimeter
