3.4.3 Cruise, Descent & Approach
In Fight the throttle control levers are the responsibility of the PF. Only when the PF
requests power changes, the PM adjust the throttle control levers. If the PM notices
that the engine parameters are out of limits during critical stages of flight, he must
adjust the throttle control levers to normal parameters, but this has to be
communicated to the PF.
PF is responsible for adjusting both
TCL
and
prop levers
settings.
The
AFCS
mode selector panel is to be controlled by the PF when the autopilot
is engaged and by the PM when the Autopilot is disengaged.
NOTE
Engine Instruments
must continuously be monitored by both pilots.
3.5 Crew Responsibilities
Refer to the Operations Manual Section 9.
3.6 Checklist Format
Preflight internal and external checks are designed to be carried out by
one crewmember working independently.On completion of a checklists, it must
be announced out loud.e.g. “landing checklist complete”
3.7 GPS Unit Setup (GTN725-750)
All GPS unit setups throughout Susi Air Operations are standardized to
provide maximum contribution to safety. All GPS units in the airplanes willbe used
by different crews flying the aircraft on a daily basis and it is importantthat all
information required is found at the expected location.
Under no circumstances may these settings be changed by individual crews to
fit their personal preferences. If anyone has suggestions for an improved setup
thismust be submitted to the Chief Pilot for consideration before any changes
aremade to all aircraft.
