NOTE
The TAWS uses Geometric Altitude as its reference altitude (GPS
calculatedaltitude). This reference altitude will often differ from cockpit
displayedbarometric altitude. Errors can be as great as 2,500 feet at higher
altitudes (above10,000 feet).It is essential crews are aware of the color coding in
relation to terrain clearance.(see below)
