4.2 Operational Flight Plan
Every flight conducted in accordance with Part 135 of the DGCA is required tohave an
operational flight plan. Refer to the following pages for a copy of anddescription of the OFP. An
Excel OFP shall be made available to crews at allstations.

Flight #: .............. Scheduled flight number or sector for the day.
Out: ..................... Off Blocks
Off: ...................... Airborne
On: ...................... Landing Time
In ......................... On Blocks
WPT Name: ......... User defined or Database name as shown on GPS
Coords: .............. Must be in the format SXX XX.XX as seen below
DIST NM: ............. Distance BETWEEN waypoints
Altitude: ............... First to waypoints are default CLB. Enter cruise altitude in boxE 10 and the rest
will autofill. If a different altitude is required,value. Fill in the temperature next to
the altitude appropriate forthat altitude (refer to engine power setting charts).
MSA: ................... Minimum IFR altitude from previous waypoint to that waypoint.
Can be a Grid MORA, MSA, Airway MEA etc.
TAS: .................... Defaults are 145 for CLB, 200 below 10000, 196 above 10000.Wind +/- kts ........
Enter average head or tailwind component for climb (H8) andcruise (H11) and
to Alternate (H22). The remaining will auto fill.
GS: ...................... (Groundspeed) Takes the TAS and adds/ subtracts windcomponent.
Time: ................... In minutes, rounded to the nearest minute.
Fuel: .................... Kgs. Fuel flow defaults are: CLB .............. 400 KG/H
BLW 10K .............. 350 KG/H
ABV 10K .............. 325 KG/H
ALT ...................... 400KG/H to thefirst WPT, 350KG/Hthereafter
ETA: .................... Off time + Leg time = ETA over each waypoint.
ATA: .................... Actual time over waypoint.
TOC (A10) ........... Waypoints prior should be only those waypoints during climb,after TOC should
be cruise waypoints, finally after TOD (A16),descent waypoints.
ALT (A20) ............ Alternate flight plan waypoints
FUEL (H27-31) ....Total fuel calculation. Taxi, Trip and Alt Autofill fromcalculations above. Reserve
and Extra are selectable. Refer tocompany limitations for minimum fuel
requirements.
Total Fuel Req’d .. Sum of Taxi, Trip, Alt, Res, Extra
Total Fuel Onbrd . Captain must fill out when conducting Before Start Checklist
