4.5.1 Fuel type
JET & JETA1 are the only permissible fuel type to be used.
4.5.2 Fuel Specific Gravity
Conversion from Liters to Kilograms shall be made using the Specific Gravity (SG) of
0.8
.
e.g.1
100 L X 0.8 = 80 Kg
e.g.2
100 Kg / 0.8 = 125 L
4.5.3 Requests For Fuel
Requests for fuel shall be in written format and given to the ramp co-ordinatoror fueller
directly. Both pilots shall confirm the fuel load request beforesubmitting when possible.
4.5.4 Fuel Draining
Fuel must be drained from ALL drain points before the first flight of the day, if
contaminants are found, EVERY drain pointmust be drained until there is no evidence of
contamination.
The fuel drain is normally done by an engineer, however if a mechanic is conducting fuel
draining, it must be in the presence ofone of the pilots to ensure:
1.
All drain points have been checked
2.
No contaminants exist
4.6 Aircraft Doors
All doors must be unlocked and closed before engines start. Force should not be used in any
attempt to close the doors. If adoor shall not close under gentle pressure the cause must be
investigatedbefore subsequent attempts are made.
NOTE
Before Start the RED DOOR annunciator on the CWD Display must be extinguished.
