STARTER TORQUE LIMITER

INSPECTION

Check the slip torque with the special tools.

09930-73170: Starter torque limiter holder

09930-73140: Starter torque limiter socket

Slip torque

Standard: 41.2 – 62.8 N·m

(4.2 – 6.4 kgf-m, 14.5 – 32.5 lb-ft)

Set the starter torque limiter to the special tool

Set the

with the starter torque limiter to the vise.

Set the special tool

to the starter torque limiter.

If the slip torque is not within specification, replace the starter
torque limiter with a new one.

PCV HOSE

Inspect the PCV hose for wear or damage.
If it is worn or damaged, replace the PCV hose with a new one.

Do not attempt to disassemble the starter torque lim-
iter.
The starter torque limiter is available only as an
assembly.
