*Note: models may not have all

connectors and options

Congratulations on the purchase of your N3000 series products. An SVSi

Networked AV system comprises video and/or audio encoders, decoders, and

other network accessories including recording solutions, multi-window processing,

audio only end points, and system controllers. The system allows you to distribute

HD Video, Audio and Control across a gigabit Ethernet network. Options are

available for recording, playback, windowing, and wall processing.

The N3000 video-over-IP stream is a multicast transport stream that is not

compatible with WAN (internet) transmission. For WAN streams, select [Unicast]

and enter the destination IP address. If outside the current network of the N3000

encoder, a router, port-forwarding, or VPN must be used. Please see your IT

administrator for these options. RTP encapsulation is an option required by certain

third-party h.264 decoders – SVSi's N3000 decoder does not require this option.

If multiple units need to be configured during initial set-up, NetLite allows exporting

of a comma-separated (csv) file of all discovered units that can be edited and then

reimported. Once imported, all device parameters will be configured as entered in

the csv file.

Common trouble-shooting items are improper network address, subnet mask, or

gateway; improperly configured network switch, decoder assigned to non-existent

stream number, If devices will not display anticipated video, disconnect from AV

network and connect encoder directly to decoder for testing. Units must be

pre-configured first before direct connection. Transmission of an N3000 stream

over the internet will require additional steps involving your IT infrastructure and

appliances. Please see your IT administrator or call SVSi tech support if unsure of

steps involved.

Please contact SVSi technical support at support@svsiav.zendesk.com or (256)

461-7143 x9900 for any installation issues.

Network Bandwidth per video stream = 0.032-10Mbs (user-selectable)

Analog or digital video is input through the DVI-I connector on the N3000 encoder

and converted to network packets for output through the RJ-45 connector. Audio

can be input as embedded digital audio through the DVI-I connector or as

balanced analog audio through the 5-pin phoenix connectors. Both encoder and

decoder can be powered 12V externally with optional wall-wart or by

power-over-Ethernet (PoE).

The N3000 series decoder accepts the network packets and reconstitutes

synchronized video and audio for display through its DVI-D port. Digital only video

is output by the decoder. The streaming h.264 output of the N3000 can also be

decoded in software with the free VLC Player application available from

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html.

IR and Serial commands can be transmitted by either encoder or decoder using

SVSi's free NetLite configuration software, SVSi's N8000-series controller, or

using third-party controllers. IR and serial ports are not pass-through and must use

a central controller to direct commands to each device.

Optional accessories:

N9312 12V wall-wart

N6123 dual-channel networked video recorder

N3510 4x1 windowing processor (available Q4-2013)
