7.5 Checks during operation
With the circuits operating at 100% and stable at working conditions near the nominal ones, check:
-
that the electrical absorption of the unit is close to the data shown in the wiring diagram. Considerably different values
may be due to the reduced capacity operation of the unit, at working conditions very different from nominal ones, or to
the malfunctioning of one or more components.
-
that the difference in water temperature seen between the inlet and outlet of the unit falls within the allowed range given
in the Technical Catalogue.
-
Higher values indicate that there is a reduced flow rate of water through the unit. In this case, it is necessary to check
for closed or partially closed shut-off devices in the hydraulic circuit and check the characteristics of the pumps and that
they are working correctly.
-
Lower values indicate that the water flow rate through the unit is too high. In this case, the water flow rate through the
system must be reduced by acting on the control switch (if any) of the pumps or by partially closing the shut-off device
placed at the outlet of the unit.
-
that the difference between the condensing temperature of each circuit and the air temperature is less than 25°C;
- If it is higher, check that all the fans involved are turning correctly and that there are no parts obstructing the condensing
coil.
- the superheating value of the suction gas. The optimal value must be between 4 and 7°C;
-
the subcooling value of the liquid leaving the condenser. The optimal value must be between 5 and 10 °C.
