(see picture on left) and lift off the cover.

u

the clips then press down on the left side so

that the pack snaps home.

Registering the handset on the
base

You must register the handset on the base in

order to make calls. The handset registers with

the base automatically when the Classic S112

handset is placed in the Classic S112 Base sta-

tion. If you want to use the Classic S112 hand-

set with another GAP base, you have to register

it manually.

Automatic registration:

Handset Classic S112 to

Base Classic S112

Important: the handset must not already be

registered to a base station.
Place the handset in the base with its

display

facing forward

. The automatic registration

takes about one minute. Throughout this

period of time, the display shows

Registering

and the name of the base, e.g.

Base 1

, blinks.

The handset will automatically be assigned the

lowest unassigned internal number (1–4).

When a successful registration is complete, the

following is displayed, e.g.

INT 1

. If the internal

numbers 1–4 are already assigned (four hand-

sets are registered with one base), the number

4 is overwritten, if this handset is in idle status.

Notes:

– The battery wires must be situated so that the

battery cover does not catch the wires when it is

closed. The wires can otherwise be damaged

when closing the cover.

– Only insert the recommended rechargeable

battery pack

, i.e. never use a normal battery

pack as this could damage your health and cause

injury.

– Never use non-Siemens battery chargers as this

could damage the battery pack.

– The handset should only be placed in a base or

charging cradle that is intended for it.
