Possible networking applications of the N8300
1.2 Product Features
This chapter describes the features of the N8300.
A conventional NAS device is configured with one or two controllers, limiting the storage
capacity and performance. High throughput applications highlight this architectural weakness.
l
Scalability
The conventional NAS device has limited capacity and performance, and thus multiple
NAS devices are required for mass capacity or high performance. Meanwhile, data cannot
be shared between these NAS devices, which makes device management and maintenance
difficult.
In this data-isolated environment, uneven access frequencies may occur. This leads to a
performance bottleneck.
