6.2.8 Over Temperature and Fans
The ATS 6501 monitors the internal temperature will trigger an alarm to be displayed on
the front panel and the
status alarm
list when the internal temperature reaches or exceeds 65ºC.
To check the current temperature on the system use the
status temperature
command.

Users can look to see if the unit had any temperature issues by using the
status
health:over_temperature
command

The ATS-6501 monitors the fans on the front panel to ensure they are operating, to check
the current status of the fans use the
status fan
command. Both fans should show a status of 1
indicating it is operating normally.

Users can look to see if the unit had any issues with either of the fans by using the
status
health:fan
command

Note:
If the unit is reporting an over temperature condition and the fans are not reporting an
error, ensure the ambient temperature is less than 50 C and the fan filters are clean.
6.2.9 PPS Outputs
The ATS-6501 is capable of providing different PPS outputs on each port of the 4394A
card. By default ports #1 and #2 are set to 1PPS with a 100us wide pulse. Users can modify
these settings. Users are cautioned to ensure they connect the correct cables to the correct output
ports to avoid any problems.
