Ethernet Interface
The optional Ethernet interface provides a web page based user interface for monitoring and
control of the UPS. The user can configure email alerts for UPS alarm conditions. The interface
also provides a RFC-1628 compliant remote SNMP monitoring interface for the unit.
The Ethernet interface supports 10BASE-T and 100BASE-T standards. It utilizes a standard RJ-
45 connector, also allowing a metallic sealable circular military outer housing. The interface
supports auto-negotiation, polarity correction, and Auto-MDIX (detection and use of straight
through or cross-over cables).
IP address assignment can be done automatically via DHCP, or a user static address entry. The
interface also supports a direct connection between the UPS and a host computer by including
a local DHCP server internal to the UPS.
For a detailed description of the Ethernet port and SNMP implementation see the SynQor website
