January 2020 - Rev. 1.2
Order Cod. 1902503003
3.2.1 Firmware revision display
F/W 5907995102
Vx.xx
Displays the current revision of the programmed
Firmware.
3.2.2 Monitor revision display
MON 5907995101
Vx.xx
Displays the current revision of the Monitor.
3.2.3 Communication Type Display /
Setting
COMM. MODE
ETHERCAT
Displays the type of communication set and allows to
modify it.
The admitted values are: [
CAN
] or [
ETHERCAT
].
Default value: [
ETHERCAT
].
3.2.4 EtherCAT Address Display /
Setting
ECAT Address
0
Displays the EtherCAT node number used and allows
to modify it.
Typically the EtherCAT node is acquired automatically
according to the position of the nodes in the EtherCAT
network. If the number of the node is [
0
] the Quad
address will be automatic; one can force the address
by changing it manually.
Default value: [
0
]
3.2.5 CAN communication Speed
Display / Setting
CAN Open Bit rate
500
Kbps
Displays the CAN communication speed and allows to
modify it.
The admitted values are:
[10 Kbps]
[20 Kbps]
[50 Kbps]
[125 Kbps]
[250 Kbps]
[500 Kbps] (<- default)
[800 Kbps]
[1000 Kbps]
3.2.6 CAN Slope and terminations
Display / Setting
CAN Resistors
Slope:Y Term:N
Displays the state of the terminations and SLOPE of the
CAN network and allows to modify them.
Typically in a CAN network one must only set the
termination of the
last
node of the network.
With the Slope one can choose between a low emission
communication mode and more reactive communication
mode, but potentially disturbing.
SLOPE: Y
for fast communication mode
(800 Kbps or 1 Mbps)
SLOPE: N
for low disturbance modes
The type of slope setting must be identical in all nodes
of the CAN network to avoid errors when receiving
messages.
Default value: Slope:Y Term:N
