Introduction
In general terms the function of the buttons on the remote control handset is the
same as the corresponding buttons on the machine’s front panel.
The Infra-Red sensor for the remote control system is located within the screen
area of the
K8
. There must be unobstructed line of sight between the
FM100
and the machine’s integral screen.
The following tables show the remote control buttons and their function when
operating the machine.

Switches the device on and off
Direct source select buttons
Brief press:
selects the

’s Streaming Client function
(Internet radio, access to music server, USB-
Audio, digital USB Audio iPod Anschluss)
Long press:
selects the iPod as source device
Selects the

A brief press switches between the audio inputs of the

A brief press switches between the video inputs (AV inputs) of

Special characters are also assigned to the

During the text input process it is possible to switch between
numerical and alpha-numeric input, and between capital and
lower-case letters, using the

(STEREO, Pro Logic, Dolby Headphone etc.)

Switches the loudspeakers on and off (MUTING)

Tone settings
A brief press opens the menu for altering the tone settings:
Balance / Subwoofer / Treble / Bass / Loudness / Dynamics /
LipSync etc.
The menu points are called up using the

buttons, and can then be altered using the

buttons.

A brief press switches between the video formats (4:3, 16:9 etc.)

To control the K8 more comfortable, the optionally
radio remote
control FD 100 is available. (The FD 100 works only with an installed
Gateway Module.)
