Picture:
No picture from the DVD
player.
Cause 1:
Video lead not connected, or defective.
Remedy:
Connect the video lead properly; have the lead checked by an expert.
Cause 2:
Video monitor not set to the correct picture input, or an incorrect video norm
selected for the input.
Remedy:
Select the picture input (AV input) on the video monitor to which your
K2
is
connected.
If you are using a SCART input, please check whether the video norm (FBAS,
S-Video, RGB, YUV) is set to match the output of the
K2
which is in use.
Cause 3:
In DVD player setup (video settings) you have selected a resolution which is
not compatible with the TV set or video monitor connected to the system, and
can therefore not be displayed by the monitor.
Remedy:
Reset the system to standard video output. This is the procedure:
•
Switch the device off, then on again.
•
Select Disc as source.
•
Hold the
button pressed in until the message “Settings” appears on
the
K2
’s integral screen.
•
Now hold the F1 button on the remote control handset pressed in until you
see the message “Resolution Reset” on the screen.
•
The
K2
is now reset back to standard video output. You should see a picture
on your monitor, in which case you can return to the DVD menu “Video
settings” and select the resolution you wish to use. However, please ensure
that the resolution you select is also supported by your video monitor.
The monitor displays no
picture, or an error mes-sage,
when you change the screen
resolution in the DVD player
setup menu.
Remedy:
While the Setup menu is open (integral screen shows
'DISC SETUP'
), you can
reset the monitor to the basic video setting with the lowest standard resolution
by pressing the
button (Reset interlaced) or a long press on the
button (Reset progressive).
If you have already left the menu, switch the system on, select the disc player
as listening source (
button) and open the Setup menu with a long press
on the
button.
Incorrect colour rendition
during DVD playback when
using the K2’s Component
Video output.
Cause 1:
The video norm setting for the
K2
’s Component output (DVD setup, menu
“Video settings - Component”) does not coincide with the setting on your video
monitor.
Remedy:
Set the same picture norm, e.g. “YUV” on the
K2
and the video monitor.
Cause 2:
The video monitor is not set to the correct picture input, or the wrong video
norm is selected for the input.
Remedy:
Select the picture input (AV input) on the video monitor to which your
K2
is
connected.
If you are using a SCART input, check whether the video norm setting (FBAS,
S-Video, RGB, YUV) is set to match the output on the K2 which is in use.
