Descaling
De-scale regularly, preferably at least once a month or more frequently if your
water is very hard.
TO DE-SCALE YOUR KETTLE:
• Using white vinegar:
- fill the kettle with 1/2 l of vinegar,
- leave to stand for 1 hour without heating
• Using citric acid:
- boil 1/2 l of water,
- add 25 g of citric acid and leave to stand for 15 min.
• Using a de-scaler specifically for plastic kettles:
- follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Empty your kettle and rinse it 5 or 6 times. Repeat if necessary.
TO DESCALE YOUR FILTER:
• Soak the filter in white vinegar or diluted citric acid.
• Never use a de-scaling method other than what is recommended.
In the event of problems
THERE IS NO VISIBLE DAMAGE TO YOUR KETTLE
• When you place your kettle on its base, no beep sounds and the digital panel
does not light up.
- Check that the kettle is properly connected to its base.
- Check that the base is properly connected to the mains.
• The beep sounds continuously and the digital panel does not light up.
- The kettle has been operated without water, or scale has accumulated,
causing the dry safety system to be triggered: leave the kettle to cool
down for a few minutes, and fill with cold water.
• The water tastes of plastic.
- Generally, this happens when the kettle is new, discard the water from
the first few uses. If the problem persists, fill the kettle to maximum
and add two teaspoons of baking soda. Bring to the boil and discard
the water. Rinse out the kettle.
IF YOUR KETTLE HAS BEEN DROPPED, IF IT LEAKS OR IF THERE
IS VISIBLE DAMAGE TO THE POWER CORD, THE PLUG OR THE
