Install the connection socket outlet in the water-protected area and at least 2 m away from the edge of the pond!
Connect the pond pump to the mains supply.
Check whether the hose (19) is connected so that it is watertight.
UV-C should be fixed on a base with a weight of at least 18 kg. Connect the UVC emitter to the mains supply, plug the
mains plug into the socket outlet.
You can check the function of the UVC tube through a bluish shimmer on the transparent discharge port (20) of the UVC
emitter.
For this filter system we recommend continuous operation (24 hours a day), in the season months March to October.
6. Maintenance and care
Attention!
The power cord of this device cannot be replaced. If the cable is damaged the UVC emitter contained in the
filter, including the ballast, is unusable and must be properly disposed of. Repair is not possible because the connecting
lines are permanently cast.
Attention!
The function of the filter system must be checked at regular intervals!
Consequently select the cleaning intervals based on the type and the extent of contamination in your pond.
- The UVC tube has a limited period of effectiveness (approx. 4000 hours) and should be replaced at the latest after one
season (March to October). Appropriate replacement tubes are available at the service address specified below.
- If the pond filter has been switched off for a longer period of time, ensure that the quartz glass cylinder that encloses
the UVC tube is clean.
- If the filter has not been operated for a longer period of time, under some circumstances it may be necessary to replace
the sealing rings.

Cleaning the UVC emitter and replacing the tube
Dismantling
1. Comply with the safety measures.
2. Disconnect the UVC emitter from the mains power and safeguard it from being switched on unintentionally.
3. Allow the water to completely run out of the unit.
4. Detach the threaded ring of the UVC emitter (3) by turning it counterclockwise, and pulling the emitter holder (4-10)
and tube (11) carefully out of the quartz glass cylinder (13).
5.
Caution!
Do not touch UVC tube (11) directly with your hand; put on cotton gloves!
6. Pull the tube holders (10) off of the UVC tube (11).
7. Carefully take out the UVC tube (11) and replace it with a new one, if necessary. Do not dispose of old broken UVC
tubes in the household waste. Consult your local disposal company.
8. Carefully take the quartz glass cylinder (13) out of the housing (15) and clean it thoroughly. In this process, pay
attention to the O-ring that is loose on the glass piston housing (14). Do not use any sharp-edged tools. If quartz glass
tube or O-rings are defective they must always be replaced.
Assembly:
1. Insert the O-ring (14) cleanly in the groove in the glass cylinder housing (13). Check the O-ring (12) for precise seat in
the groove of the quartz glass cylinder flange (13).
2. Carefully insert the UVC tube (11) into the holder and slide the emitter with tube into the quartz glass cylinder (13). In
this process ensure that the apertures of the quartz glass cylinder (13) fit into the connection unit (7) (different groove
width).
3. Carefully slide the quartz glass cylinder (13) with the UVC tube into the UVC emitter housing (15). In this process
ensure that the UV sight guard points toward the outflow port (20) and that the apertures fit appropriately into the UVC
emitter housing (15). Firmly screw the threaded ring (3) clockwise by hand onto the emitter housing (15). Check threaded
union for precise seat and seal.
