Managing Your Ameo
Select
VGA-out
if you are doing a presentation such as a Powerpoint
presentation and you are outputting it to a projector.
Select
Composite & S-Video
if you are going to output a video to
the external viewing device. Choose the
Video standard
to use when
outputting (e.g. If your video is in the NTSC video standard and you select
PAL, TV Out will convert your video to PAL before outputting.)
4. Tap
OK

Notes
Audio output is not supported.
If you are connecting to a device that requires a Composite or S-Video
connection, it is recommended that you contact the distributor orT-Mobile first
and inquire about the compatible accessory needed. An improper connection
may result in the Ameo being damaged.
You can output to other external viewing devices as long as the external
viewing device’s cable can be plugged into the VGA out cable of the Ameo.
To disable TV Out
1. On the Today screen, tap
Start
>
Settings
>
System
tab >
TV Out
.
2. On the
TV Out
Settings screen, choose
Off
on the drop-down menu.
3. Turn off the external viewing device and then unplug the power cord.
4. Disconnect the VGA cable’s smaller end from the Ameo and then disconnect
the external viewing device’s cable from the VGA out cable.
Playing videos
TV Out does not support the playback of audio. It is recommended to turn up the
volume of the Ameo when playing back video with audio on an external viewing
device.
To configure the “X” button to shut down programs
You can configure the
button to shut down running programs and free up the
memory space that is occupied by them.
1. Tap
Start
>
Settings
>
System
tab, then tap
X-Button
.
2. Select the
Enable the “X” button to end running programs
check box.
