Power Switch
The power switch is located at the rear of the instrument. It is part of the
assembly called the
power entry module
, which also contains the power cable
connection and fuses. The power switch is used to turn the instrument on
and off.
Power Cable
NOTE: A <HAR>-marked (harmonized) power cable meet-
ing the standards of the country of installation is required
for the European Economic Area.
Install the power cable as follows:
1.
Make sure the DSC POWER switch is in the Off (0) position.
2.
Plug the power cable into the DSC power entry module.
CAUTION: Before plugging the DSC power cable into the wall outlet, make sure the
instrument is compatible with the line voltage. Check the label on the back of the unit
to verify the voltage.
3.
Plug the power cable into the wall outlet.
Starting the DSC
1.
Check all connections between the DSC and the controller. Make sure each component is plugged into the
correct connector.
2.
Set the instrument power switch to the ON (1) position.
After the proper power up sequence, the TA Instruments logo will be displayed on the touch screen or the green
light on the keypad will be lit, this indicates that the instrument is ready for use.
NOTE: Allow the DSC to warm up for at least 30 minutes before performing an experiment.
