7.4.5.2 Position of the knife
Adjust the knife so it holds the film before it
cuts it. If the pre-stretchers are mounted
high (1,5m balers) it might be necessery to
adjust the position.
7.4.5.3 Temperature and film qual-
ity
Wrapping in hot conditions and / or with very
sticky film might cause the film to stick to the
cutter. Such conditions require regularly
cleaning of the cutter and an other film type
should be tested.
Wrapping
7.4.5.4 Film release
After the film is stuck to the bale, it has to be
released from the cutter. This is done by
opening the cutter when the film is stretched
between the bale and the cutter. The opti-
mum time for film release is depending on
the conditions.
The film release has to be done once on
single satellite and twice on twin satellites.
The film release is manually operated on
model M.
Attention: Avoid the satellite colliding
with the pre-stretcher!
The film release is automatic on model S
and occurs after approx. two satellite rota-
tions. The filmcutter is kept open after the
filmrelease.
The film release is automatic on model C
and occurs according to set time and durati-
on. The values for the second film release
can be adjusted by authorized service
personell.
The opening time should be as short as
possible. See chapter 10.9.7.
7.4.6 Unloading a bale
Roller table is tilted backwards to discharge
bale. Ensure that the tip area is clear. Tip off
the bale.
Warning! Be aware of risk of bale starting to
roll on slopes. Avoid this by turning wrapper
across the slope before discharging bale.
7.4.7 Baleturner
The wrapper must stand still whilst the bales
are discharged and turned. Driving during
this operation can cause damages on the
bale.
The functionality is reduced when:
The bale has rounded egdes or is oval.
Hilly conditions.
The rear disc is adjustable to optimize the
functionality during different conditions and
bale sizes.
