CAUTION: Unplug the vacuum cleaner before servicing
1. Install the handle on the vacuum.
2. Set the multimeter to test continuity (ohms) and place one of the leads on the small blade of the wall
plug (Fig. A.)
3. Make sure the switch is in the on position and place the other lead onto the black wire (Fig. B.) The
meter should show zero (0) if continuity is present. If the path tests good then check the neutral side
as well.
Place one lead on the large blade of the wall plug (Fig. C) and the other on the white wire (Fig D).
4. If there is no continuity through the main wire harness then replace it otherwise continue to the next
step.
