A system database stored as a file on the CFD can be loaded into the database RAM
memory of the Coral system (on the 32GC card) at any time, with a system restart. For
Hot Standby systems, this procedure is executed only from the Active side, however,
the
Load
is performed on both system sides.
Loading a database stored on the CFD can be useful for installing the database of an
existing system into the database memory of another system that has a substantially
similar configuration. Similarly, a database can be created by programming a system
off-line at another location — perhaps at the distributor’s facilities, then loaded at a
convenient time at the intended site.

Loading (Restoring) the Database from the CFD
Loading a database from a CFD file into the database memory destroys the original
database information stored in the database memory and overwrites it with information
from the CFD database file. Once overwritten, the original database cannot be
recovered.
