Upgrading the Coral Version
Upgrading the Coral Version halts all call processing. Therefore, only perform an
upgrade when call traffic and importance is lowest (usually during the late night or
evening hours).
To Upgrade the Coral Version:
1.
Save the system database to a file on the Compact Flash Disk (CFD), see
Saving the System Database on page 4-4
, above.
2.
Turn off the main power to the switch for all the cabinets.
3.
Turn off all the PPS and RPS units in each peripheral shelf.

Remove the MCP-ATS (for Coral FlexiCom 6000/R (HSB) systems, remove
both MCP-ATSs) by unscrewing and pulling them out, see
.
6.
Replace the new CFDs in each MCP-ATS.
For HSB systems
, ensure that exactly the same Coral generic version is loaded
on both CFDs.
Additionally
, ensure that the number on the SAU device
exactly matches the number on the CFD installed on the same system side.
The SAU numbers for the two system sides are
not
identical, therefore it is
important to verify that each side has its own set of identical SAU numbers.

Return the MCP-ATSs to their appropriate slots and screw into place,

Do not remove power when the HD LED on the MCP-ATS card is flashing, indicating
CFD or Hard Drive activity.
