The CFD contains the generic feature software and database backup files.
The CFD disk has an erasable memory capacity of 64MB or more. The appropriate
memory capacity is dependent on the Coral system configuration.
The CFD slot is housed on the MCP-ATS card component side or front panel.
Both MCP-ATSs required the same version CFD, therefore, if one is updated the other
must be updated at the same time, see
Upgrading the Coral Generic Version on page 4-2
.
When replacing a CFD card with another card that contains upgraded software, the
new card might not contain an updated database. If the new card does not contain a
database, it is important to make a binary backup of the existing database before
removing the card. See
Upgrading the Coral Generic Version on page 4-2
details.

CFD - Compact Flash Memory Disk
Before removing a memory card from the Coral system, do the following:
1.Perform the Database Binary Backup procedure.
2.Verify that the database is not being backed up: check that the MCP-ATS card HD
LED does not flashing. Data will be lost if power is removed from the system when HD
LED is flashing.
3.Turn the Coral power supply OFF. The CFD card could be damaged if removed when
the system is powered.
Do not remove the CFD or MCP-ATS card from its slot when the HD LED is flashing,
indicating CFD or Hard Drive activity.
