Expanded Memory Module for 32GC
Coral Components Discontinuation Announcement:
8XMM cards replace the discontinued 4XMM cards, which are no longer
produced.
The 4/8XMM daughterboard is an optional memory card that is mounted on the 32GC
group controller card. It is an expansion memory module containing either 4 MB or
8MB and is required for added data storage capacity. It also contains the shared
memory capacity utilized by the MCP-ATS and the optional CLA-ATS unit. The
4/8XMM includes 3V lithium battery backup for power protection.
The 4/8XMM card is installed as a piggyback card onto a memory interface connector
on the 32GC and does not occupy its own card slot within the Coral FlexiCom 6000
control shelf.
When is an XMM card required?
A 4/8XMM card is required:
In large Coral Configurations with 5000 or more ports
To use the Coral Directory, Traffic and Call Log features
In Coral systems with a CLA-ATS card installed for CoraLINK. The
CLA-ATS card uses 2MB of the 4/8XMM memory.
Refer to the
Program Interface Reference Manual
to display the database memory
status. (Chapter-4 Size Definition, Route: SIZ, CHECK MEMORY?)
The required memory capacity 4MB or 8MB on the XMM card is determined by the
configuration and size of the system.
