4.5 Simultaneous Interpretation (S. I.)
Simultaneous interpretation system in conference preparation includes two sub modules:
Simultaneous Interpretation Channel Setup and Booth Setup.
4.5.1 Simultaneous Interpretation Channel Setup
Setup of simultaneous interpretation channel, as in figure below:

Select SI Interface: select SI interface (Interp. Units / Analog);
Note:
when we select the Interp. Units as SI interface, the audio sensitivity is unavailable; when
we select Analog as SI interface, the audio sensitivity of each channel can be setup manually, but
the following items are unavailable.
Booths Interlock Mode: Booths output channels interlock mode (Interlock/Override).
Distribute Floor to Used SI CH: select whether to distribute floor to used SI channel
automatically or not when the SI channel is not operated.
Interpretation Units Sampling Rate: setup interpretation units sampling rate (32 kHz / 48 kHz);
Interpretation Units Display Real Time: select whether the interpretation units display real time
or not;
The system supports 3 S.I. channels, and distributes as well an output language for each channel.
To set up the S.I. channels, the user should first select the number of channels, according to the
conference requirement. If there are 3 different languages applied in the conference, the operator
shall set the channel number to 3 and click the “OK” button to confirm. Assign now a specific
language for each channel. After completion click “Save and Send To CMU” to save the settings and
to update the conference main unit.
