4-1. Dimensions and Component Parts
Refer to attatched drawing
4-2. Construction and Principle of Operation
The oil filter is composed basically of a body① , a loewr case② , an element③ ,
etc.
As shown in the attached drawing, lower case② is screwed into the body①
and "O"ring⑤ seal makes leak-proof configuration. Filter element③ is plugged
in to the inlet of body. "O"ring④ is also attached to the filter element.
The filter is so designed that the hydraulic oil entering from oil inlet is
fills the inside of the lower case② , filtered as it passes through the filter
element from out side toward the center. The filtered oil is allowed to flow out
from oil outlet.
・ Relief valve (optional)
In response to excessive clogging of the filter element with resultant pressure
loss beyond the preset limit, this valve is opened to let the oil bypass
the filter element and flow out directly from oil outlet, there by protecting
the filter element against damage. The valve has been set to be activated on
a differencial pressure rise of 0.35MPa{3.5kgf/cm }.
2
Note that the oil filter equipped with a high pressure element (3CH,8CH,25CH)have
the relief valve passage blind plugged so that it has no relief valve.
・ Differential pressure type indicator (optional)
Two types of optional indicators are available. One is a visual type indicator
(I type) whose indication turns red from green when it detects a pressure
difference in filter element that exceeds preset limit between primary pressure
(fluid inlet side) and secondary pressure (fluid outlet side). The other is an
electric contact type visual indicator which is applicable to visual type, too.
(E type) that internal switch is activated.
For high pressure elements, IF-7 or EF-7 indicator (full red indication for
0.7MPa{7kgf/cm }) is used.
2
The IF-3D/7D OR EF-3D/7D indicators are applicable to micro capacity
(under 100mA), using electric contact type.
※ Ref.attatched [indicator instruction manual].

Caution
* When lifting the oil filter, housing sling with wire rope.
* Wire roping and lifting must be done by qualified persons.
* Be careful not to turn over the oil filter or let it fall from a height.
Avoid danger.
(1) Cover the oil filter to protect against rain in transit.
(2) Do not turn the oil filter over or fall. Do not impart shocks.
