Fit Encryption Module
Note:
Before performing these steps, ensure that the encryption module’s flex edge connector
is facing
toward
the Orca PCB
1.
Fit flexiloom firmly into module’s flex edge connector
2.
With main RF shield beside PCB as shown, fit flex into RF shield flex edge connector
Note:
There is no flex-edge connector in the Tait Orca Elan or T5010 models. If fitting to
these radios, tape the flexiloom at this edge to prevent it shorting.
3.
Gently fold the flexiloom to refit the RF shield into the chassis, then reassemble the radio
according to standard procedures.
